Our Terms
Shipping and Dispatch
We aim to dispatch Erstwilder and other small items within 2 to 3 business days. During peak periods or following a major new release, this may extend up to 7 business days. We use Australia Post Express for all domestic orders to ensure your items jump the Bass Strait as quickly as possible. Large or fragile items such as furniture or architectural pieces may take longer to arrange; please contact us directly for a specific shipping quote on these items.
Store Pickup (All Items): You are welcome to collect your order - whether it is a tiny brooch or a large dresser - from our shop at 56 High Street, New Norfolk. Please wait for a "Ready for Pickup" notification before arriving to ensure your items have been retrieved from our storeroom.
Small Items (Postable): The following rates apply only to small items, jewellery, and old wares that can be sent via standard postal services:
-
Australia: Flat rate shipping of $10 AUD, or FREE for orders over $150 AUD.
-
International (Excluding USA): Flat rate shipping (calculated based on your specific location), or FREE for orders over $300 AUD.
-
USA: We offer a flat fee shipping structure for all orders to the USA. This allows us to absorb the cost of tariffs on your behalf.
Large Items & Furniture Delivery (Australia Only): For furniture, architectural antiques, or oversized items that cannot be posted:
-
New Norfolk Delivery: We offer FREE delivery within the immediate New Norfolk area.
-
Greater Hobart Delivery: We offer a flat rate delivery fee of $100 AUD.
-
Mainland Australia: Shipping for large items is not covered by our flat rate or free shipping tiers. Please contact us directly for a freight quote before purchasing.
-
International: We do not ship furniture or large architectural items internationally.
Order Acceptance and Stock Management
At 20th Century Artifacts, we are specialist dealers in collectables. We reserve the right to manage our stock to ensure our rare pieces reach genuine collectors. When a specific Erstwilder design is identified as a "Runaway Unicorn" (ultra-low volume and high demand), it may be moved to The Reliquary. Items in The Reliquary are not available for individual sale and are allocated exclusively as a Gift with Purchase (GWP) for orders over $500 AUD. These are allocated on a "first-to-qualify" basis from our own paid retail stock.
Condition of Items
The majority of our items are vintage or collectable. While most Erstwilder stock is brand new, older pieces (pre-2015) may be pre-loved. Vintage and handcrafted items often possess inherent manufacturing traits, such as cooling lines in glass or minute surface bubbles in resin. Where these characteristics are prominent, the item is clearly marked as 'Imperfect' and priced accordingly. By purchasing, you acknowledge that vintage items may show minor signs of age and that resin patterns vary from piece to piece.
Layby Terms
Due to past issues with uncollected items, all laybys must now be pre-approved via telephone (03 6261 2500 or 0403 858 210). A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of purchase. Standard layby terms are 4 weeks unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to complete payments within the agreed time frame will result in the forfeiture of your deposit and the item being returned to stock.
Returns and Refunds
Please choose carefully. As a small, family-operated business specializing in rare and vintage items, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. We encourage collectors to utilize our detailed descriptions and high-resolution imagery to ensure the item meets their requirements before finalizing an order. If an item is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt. In the event of a return, the item must be sent back in its original packaging and condition before a refund or credit is issued.
Pricing
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). As specialist dealers, our pricing reflects the current market rarity and collector value of an item rather than the original RRP.
