P.S. Even though the lion is often referred to as the “king of the jungle,” this is incorrect. The expression most likely comes from an incorrect association between Africa and jungles. Jungles tend to form in tropical areas, in the north of Africa, near the equator. The natural habitat of lions is in the grassland and plains areas in central and southern Africa.
